CBD for Pain

In recent years, many people with chronic pain have turned to CBD oil for relief.

CBD oil is derived from cannabis, but contains none of the chemical that causes you to get high (THC.) Instead, CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid receptors in your brain and immune system. This interaction helps with inflammation, and is what may help with pain management.

Most recent research indicates that CBD is an effective form of pain management when taken in the form of CBD oil in either a tincture, supplement, or edible product.

The study reviewed research from the last forty years, and found that the use of CBD helped to reduce pain symptoms and carried no or only minimal side effects.

CBD may be a safer alternative to Opioid pain medication, which can be very highly addictive and habit forming. For people with chronic pain, it’s dangerous to rely on medications such as Opioids which can have harmful side effects throughout the body in addition to being addictive.

CBD oil has been explored as a potential option for people with many different types of pain, though some of the most notable include: cancer pain, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, and even arthritis.

The substance has even been tapped by the National Cancer Institute as a potential treatment for nausea, vomiting, and lack of appetite as a result of either cancer or cancer treatments like chemotherapy.

While most of the research surrounding CBD is not conclusive data, the general consensus seems to be encouraging and holds CBD as a promising new alternative to traditional pain medications.
